Fiorentina Defender Shocks Al-Hilal
Wednesday 27-08-2025
Italian defender Pietro Comozzo of Fiorentina has rejected the offer from Saudi club Al-Hilal during the ongoing summer transfer window, preferring to continue in the Italian league rather than embark on a new experience in Saudi Arabia.

According to reports from "Sky Sports", Comozzo does not intend to leave Fiorentina this summer, as he believes that staying with his current team is the best option for his career, despite repeated attempts from Al-Hilal's management to sign him.

Sources revealed that the Saudi club intensified its communications with the player in recent hours, but he remained firm in his decision, forcing Al-Hilal to search for defensive alternatives before the transfer market closes.

Al-Hilal's insistence on signing a foreign defender is based on the request of their Italian coach Simone Inzaghi, who emphasized the need to strengthen the backline with a young player capable of making an impact during the new season's competitions.

It is worth noting that Al-Hilal has made several notable signings this summer, including Frenchman Theo Hernandez and Uruguayan Darwin Nunez, along with local players Ali Lajami and Abdul Karim Darsi.
