
Officially: Carney Chukwuemeka Joins Borussia Dortmund
Borussia Dortmund has announced its contract with English midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, coming from Chelsea, with a contract that extends until June 30, 2030, following his impressive performance during his loan period in the second half of last season and his participation with Dortmund in the Club World Cup.
Other media reports confirmed that the deal was worth 20 million euros, in a move aimed at strengthening the team's attacking line with a young and talented player.
Lars Ricken, the general manager of Borussia Dortmund, stated: "It was important for us to enhance the quality and creativity in the attacking midfield, we are happy to sign a great talent like Carney for the long term, and we look forward to working with him on developing his level."
Meanwhile, sporting director Sebastian Kehl remarked: "Chukwuemeka has great potential, and he has already proven that with us, he is a player who makes a difference in tight spaces and adds an artistic element to our midfield that clearly serves the team's style."
