Faygl Approaches to Wear Al-Shabab Jersey
Tuesday 26-08-2025
German midfielder Julian Faygl has been removed from the list of his team Borussia Mönchengladbach for the opening match of the Bundesliga against Hamburg, which has fueled speculation about his imminent departure to the Saudi league.

Roland Virkus, the sporting director of the German club, clarified that the absence of the 29-year-old is due to his involvement in ongoing transfer negotiations, denying that it is related to an injury or a technical decision from the coaching staff.

Reports have revealed that Al-Shabab Saudi Club has entered advanced talks with Mönchengladbach to purchase Faygl's contract, after the player expressed his initial agreement to embark on a new experience in the Roshan Professional League.

Initial speculations indicated a potential payment of between 10 to 15 million euros to complete the deal, but the German club is now closer to accepting a much lower financial offer than the amount circulated in the media.

The deal is expected to be finalized within hours, with estimates suggesting that its value will be around 6 million euros, in a move that could represent a strong addition to the midfield of Al-Shabab, which is seeking to compete for titles.
