Abdulaziz Al-Malik, the president of Al-Shabab, revealed details of the negotiations that took place with Al-Nassr to acquire goalkeeper Nawaf Al-Aqidi, explaining that the discussions included a proposal to involve Hammam Al-Hammami in a swap deal.

The owner stated in remarks via the 'Thamanyah' channel that Al-Shabab's management discussed the offer with Nawaf Al-Aqidi, but negotiations did not reach a final agreement. He confirmed that the club is currently working on renewing Hammam Al-Hammami's contract to ensure his stay.

The president of Al-Shabab emphasized the club's commitment to keeping Hammam Al-Hammami, considering him a key element in the club's future plans. He stated: "Hammam is a great player, and we see his future with Al-Shabab. We see him as a big part of the plan, and he is a fundamental pillar for us."

In another context, the owner praised the role that Ali Al-Bulayhi plays within the team, pointing out his commitment and discipline, as well as his ability to motivate his teammates and strengthen the relationships between Saudi and foreign players.

Ali Al-Bulayhi is one of the players most keen on arriving early for training, and he leaves the pitch after everyone else. His influence extends to the dressing room and supporting the younger players.

The owner praised the Saudi team leaders for their role in fostering a positive spirit and creating a suitable atmosphere within the group, which helps to increase closeness and harmony among the players.

The president of Al-Shabab discussed financial powers related to contracts and renewals, confirming that the management can determine the value of Saudi player transfers from its own budget, without referring to the league association, even if the transfer reaches 100 million Riyals.

He added that having these powers places the responsibility for financial decisions on the club's management, clarifying that the recruitment budget is allocated for signing foreign players.

The owner indicated that the Saudi Pro League is responsible for evaluating players and determining the values of transfers made within the allocated recruitment budget.
