Saad Qais Clarifies the Weaknesses of the Police Team
Former player of the Police team, Saad Qais, confirmed that the Police Club is going through a sensitive phase in terms of its lineup, especially after losing several prominent names during the summer transfer period.
He said: "The Police has lost some of its most important defensive elements like Akam Hashim, who transferred to Al-Zawraa, and Ayoub Mouden, who moved to Al-Karma, in addition to striker Mimi and Sajad Jassim."
He added: "In my opinion, coach Moamen Suleiman is trying hard to compensate for these names, especially in the back lines, but he is facing a significant challenge because these losses cannot be easily replaced, as these players represented the backbone of the team."
He continued: "The situation is not reassuring at all after the departure of the team's top scorer Mimi, who was the primary attacking force for the club, and his transfer to Dibba Al-Fujairah in the UAE will leave a clear void in the frontline."
He pointed out: "So far, the signing of Cameroonian striker Lionel Atiba has not provided clear indicators, as the striker has not been tested effectively in matches, and what the management has seen are just video clips of him, which is concerning, especially since the team is heading into a competitive season that requires a proven striker capable of making a difference."
He added: "The Police is a big club with a wide fan base, and the fans will not be forgiving if the team appears lackluster, so the management must act quickly to find practical solutions, either by reinforcing the team with new players or enhancing the harmony within the current group."
Saad Qais concluded his remarks by emphasizing that "the team is capable of getting back on the right track, but this depends on the speed of finding suitable alternatives to compensate for the absence of key elements; otherwise, the next season will be filled with challenges and difficulties."
