Inter Milan Plans to Strengthen Defense
The newspaper 'La Gazzetta dello Sport' reported that Inter Milan is planning to strengthen its defense before the closure of the summer transfer market, especially if French defender Benjamin Pavard leaves in the coming days.
The newspaper clarified that the Nerazzurri management is keeping an eye on Bayern Munich's duo, Kim Min-jae and Dayot Upamecano, with the intention of waiting until the final stages of the transfer window to finalize a deal similar to the previous Pavard transfer from Bayern.
Kim is considered a preferred option for Inter due to his limited appearances with Bayern recently, while Upamecano's situation is different as he is a key player; however, his contract expiring in the summer of 2026 gives Inter the opportunity to negotiate, especially if they present an enticing financial offer to prevent the German club from losing him for free later.
This move comes as part of Inter's efforts to maintain its defensive stability and compensate for any potential departures before the transfer market closes.
