Former Al Ahly Channel President Comments on Imam Ashour's Contract Extension News
Mohamed El-Adl, the former president of Al Ahly Channel, commented on the rumors that have recently circulated about extending Imam Ashour's contract with Al Ahly until 2030.
El-Adl said on Facebook: "They say that Imam Ashour requested huge amounts and Al Ahly agreed (even though that's just nonsense)... Why are you upset? This is his right; he hasn't wronged anyone, we haven't taken loans from anyone, our money is ours and we are free to use it as we wish."
Recently, several media figures have discussed Imam Ashour's requests to the Al Ahly management to raise his salary to the highest tier in the team in order to extend his contract.
On another note, Al Ahly will face Ghazl El Mahalla next Monday in the fourth round of the Egyptian Premier League.
