Press sources revealed that the transfer deal of Abdullah Madu, the Al-Ettifaq defender, to his former club Al-Nassr during the ongoing summer transfer window has been halted despite an agreement between the two clubs.

According to the sources, the executive committee at Al-Nassr delayed sending its official offer to Al-Ettifaq, in accordance with the agreement made between the two clubs to purchase Madu's contract, which led to the cancellation of the agreement that had been reached.

Thus, negotiations will have to restart if Al-Nassr wishes to contract with Madu, who is also of interest to Portuguese coach Jorge Jesus of Al-Nassr.

It appears that Al-Ettifaq is open to selling Madu's contract this summer, and it is also open to selling the contract of another Saudi defender, Abdul Basit Hindi, who is attracting interest from some clubs.
