Bayer Leverkusen has successfully finalized the transfer deal for Argentine talent Claudio Echeverri, a player from Manchester City, surpassing their Bundesliga rival Borussia Dortmund, who had made an official offer to acquire the player.

According to information from 'Sky Germany', Leverkusen reached a complete agreement with Manchester City for a one-season loan of the player without a purchase option, following a prior verbal agreement with Echeverri himself, and Dortmund was officially informed of the player's decision to join Leverkusen.

The player is expected to undergo a medical examination soon, with the official announcement of the deal to be made this week once the final procedures are completed.

Echeverri, who is 19 years old, joined Manchester City in January 2024 from River Plate for €18.5 million, and remained on loan at his previous team until the end of 2024. Since the beginning of 2025, he has joined the first team of Manchester City and carries the nickname 'the little devil.'
