Manchester City Rejects Tottenham's Huge Bid for Savinho
Saturday 16-08-2025
Manchester City has rejected a formal offer from Tottenham that exceeded £60 million for the contract of young Brazilian star Savinho, as coach Pep Guardiola insists on the player's services and considers him a key element for the team's future, according to the "Fichajes" website.

Savinho, who is 21 years old, shone during the last season and participated in 48 matches across various competitions, scoring 3 goals and providing 12 assists, making him a target for several clubs, most notably Tottenham, which is looking to compensate for the departure of Son Heung-min.

Despite Tottenham's strong attempt, City values the player between £70 and £80 million and considers him a long-term strategic investment, with no intention of negotiating for a lower price.

On the other hand, Savinho is contemplating his international future, especially with the 2026 World Cup approaching, and he wishes to gain more playing minutes to secure his place in the Brazilian national team's starting lineup.

For its part, Tottenham does not rule out returning with an improved offer in the coming days, especially with the transfer market nearing its end, while Savinho continues his training with Manchester City amid widespread anticipation for his future.
