Barcelona's Stance on Signing Juventus Striker
The name of Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic has resurfaced in Barcelona's interests, according to the newspaper "La Gazzetta dello Sport," amid Juventus's desire to market him during the current summer transfer window.
Vlahovic's contract with Juventus expires on June 30, 2026, and the management of the Italian club is seeking to sell him this summer to avoid losing him for free next season, in addition to getting rid of his high annual salary of around €12 million.
However, the Spanish newspaper "Sport" confirmed that the option of Vlahovic transferring to Barcelona is currently off the table, after the Catalan club completed the signing of Marcus Rashford on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season.
Although Barcelona had previously discussed the option of signing the Serbian striker in earlier transfer periods, the deal never materialized, and there will be no movement to complete it this summer either.
On the other hand, Newcastle United is a realistic option to sign the player, especially if Alexander Isak moves to Liverpool, although Vlahovic's high salary poses a potential obstacle, as was the case in his previous negotiations with Milan.
