West Ham Inquires About Lorenzo Pellegrini's Situation
Tuesday 12-08-2025
Football Italia reported that English club West Ham United has contacted Roma to inquire about the possibility of signing Italian player Lorenzo Pellegrini, amidst uncertainty regarding his future at the Stadio Olimpico.

Pellegrini, 29 years old, has entered the final year of his contract with Roma, and reports indicate that renewal negotiations have stalled, increasing the likelihood of his departure during the current summer transfer window.

Pellegrini recently lost the captaincy after coach Gian Piero Gasperini announced that the captain's armband would be given to the player with the most appearances for the team, placing both Shaarawy and Cristante ahead of him in the leadership hierarchy.

Alongside West Ham, both Crystal Palace and Bournemouth have shown interest in signing the player, and if the deal is completed, Roma may look to sign Benfica midfielder Florentino Luis as a potential replacement.
