Concern Looms Over Betis After Isco's Injury and His Expected Absence
Sunday 10-08-2025
The captain of Real Betis, Isco, has caused a great deal of concern within the club and among its fans after suffering a worrying injury during a friendly match against Malaga, as part of the Costa del Sol tournament, which took place at the La Rosaleda stadium.

Isco left the pitch at halftime following a violent tackle from behind by Malaga's striker, Larubia, during the stoppage time of the first half. The injury occurred in the same left ankle that he underwent surgery on last year, which kept him out of action for seven months.

The player exited the field with the help of crutches, while his ankle was covered with a large bandage that extended up to the knee. The club clarified that the substitution was due to Isco experiencing severe pain, but the severity of the injury has not yet been officially disclosed.

According to reliable journalist Fabrizio Romano via his official account on the X platform, Isco is expected to be sidelined for about three months.
