According to German newspaper Ruhr Nachrichten, Borussia Dortmund has entered advanced negotiations with Chelsea regarding the loan of English midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka, with an obligation to buy.

According to the report, the mandatory purchase clause will range between £21.7 million and £26.1 million, and it will be activated automatically if the player participates in a specified number of matches during the loan period.

Chukwuemeka (20 years old) is considered one of the top young talents in England, having joined Chelsea in the summer of 2022 from Aston Villa, but he has not received regular playing minutes so far, prompting him to consider a new move to develop his career.

Dortmund, known for giving opportunities to young talents, sees Chukwuemeka, who played with them last season, as a strong addition to their midfield in preparation for the upcoming season.
