The management of Al-Hilal has begun concrete steps to sign a young foreign defender under the age limit, as part of the club's plan to strengthen the back line during the ongoing summer transfer market.

According to the Saudi newspaper "Al-Yawm", Al-Hilal is currently deliberating between Giovanni Leoni from Parma and Pietro Comuzzo from Fiorentina, in preparation to choose one of them to bolster the blue defense.

Italian coach Simone Inzaghi is expected to finalize his decision in the coming days to select the most suitable defender from the duo, in line with his tactical philosophy.

Al-Hilal has strengthened its squad this summer with strong signings, most notably Frenchman Theo Hernandez, in addition to Abdul Karim Drasi and Ali Lajami.

The team continues its preparations for the new season through an external camp in Germany, while reports indicate it is close to signing Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez from Liverpool.
