Atalanta Reveals Stance on Lookman's Departure to Inter Milan
Monday 04-08-2025
Antonio Percassi, the executive director of Atalanta, revealed his club's stance on selling Nigerian winger Ademola Lookman to Inter Milan during the ongoing summer transfer window.

Reports have confirmed that Lookman is a key target for Inter to strengthen their attack, but negotiations between the two parties have not reached an agreement due to disagreements over the financial value of the deal, amid the player's desire to leave.

During a press conference held today, Monday, Percassi stated: "Last year, when an offer from Paris Saint-Germain worth 20 million euros arrived, Lookman requested to be allowed to leave."

He added: "Because Atalanta is a reputable club, we promised to consider selling the player in the current transfer market, under two conditions he agreed to, that he joins a major European club and does not move to any other team within Italy."

He continued: "The situation now is completely different, and I assure you that Atalanta always carefully evaluates the timing and value of its players' departures, and in the end, the decision is in the hands of the club."

According to reports, the latest offer from Inter Milan was 42 million euros plus 3 million in variables, while Atalanta is demanding 50 million euros, and it is believed that the club may accept an offer of 45 million euros along with 5 million in add-ons.

It is worth noting that Lookman joined Atalanta in 2022 from Leipzig and has succeeded in scoring 52 goals in 118 matches played with the team across various competitions.
