Reports have indicated that Serbian striker Luka Jovic is close to joining Greek club AEK Athens in a free transfer after his contract with Milan expired.

Jovic (26 years old) was also close to signing with Spanish club Real Oviedo earlier in the summer transfer window, but negotiations were unsuccessful, opening the door for the Greek league option.

Jovic, who previously played for Real Madrid, Eintracht Frankfurt, and Fiorentina, is seeking a new opportunity to rediscover his form after fluctuating seasons in terms of participation and scoring.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, AEK Athens has made an official offer for the player, with optimism within the club about completing the deal in the coming days.
