Algerian international Amin Guery is preparing for his second consecutive season with Olympique Marseille, after joining from Stade Rennais in January 2025 in a deal worth 19 million euros, making him one of the most expensive signings in the history of the prestigious French club.

Guery currently ranks ninth on the list of the highest-cost transfers in Marseille's history, amid his continued impressive performance, having contributed 10 goals and 3 assists in just 14 matches last season, which has doubled his market value to 30 million euros.

The French club continues its strong movements in the summer transfer market in preparation for the 2025/2026 season, having recently secured a massive deal by signing Brazilian Igor Paixao from Feyenoord for 35 million euros including bonuses, making it the most expensive transfer in the club's history.

Guery is one of only three players from the list of the most expensive transfers who still play for Marseille, alongside Igor Paixao and Englishman Mason Greenwood, while the others have left over the years, including notable names such as Lucho Gonzalez, Elye Wahi, Vitinha, and Dimitri Payet.
