The Moroccan national team for local players began its journey in the Africa Cup of Nations for locals "CAN 2025" with an important victory over its Angolan counterpart with a score of (2-0), in the match that took place today, Sunday, as part of the first round of the group stage of the tournament held in Kenya, Tanzania, and Uganda.

The Moroccan team scored two goals, the first by Imad Rihai in the first half, before the team added the second goal through an own goal by an Angolan defender due to pressure from Kenito in the second half.

With this victory, the "Lions" topped the group with a goal difference over the Kenyan team, the host of the tournament, which has the same points total.

The players of coach Tarek Skitwi will face the Kenyan team in the highlight of the second round, scheduled for next Sunday, in a highly anticipated match to determine the true leader of the group.
