Officially.. Nawruz Club signs defender Cardo Sadiq

Nawruz Club has officially announced the signing of the young Iraqi defender Cardo Sadiq, coming from Oxford City in England, in a deal that reflects the club's ambitions to strengthen its defensive lines with players who possess international experience and European professional training.

The club's new defender was born in 2002 and stands 190 cm tall, and is considered one of the most prominent young Iraqi names that have grown up on English pitches, having previously represented Crystal Palace at the U16, U18, and U23 levels, which provided him with a comprehensive technical experience in one of the strongest football schools in the world.

He also had an experience with Darlington FC before moving to Oxford City, where he played matches in the lower English leagues, showcasing good performances that revealed a promising defensive talent characterized by physical strength, high tackling, and good positioning.

On the international level, Cardo Sadiq represented the Iraqi Olympic team in several appearances, where he caught attention with his high technical abilities and fighting spirit, making him a target for many Iraqi clubs before Nawruz finalized the deal in its favor.

The signing of Cardo comes as part of Nawruz management's efforts to enhance the defense line with young blood that has international exposure, amid the club's ambition to achieve a remarkable season in the Iraqi Stars League and to continue building on what it has achieved in previous seasons.
