Air Force Withdraws from the Bahraini Kamil Al-Aswad Deal
A special source revealed that the management of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Club has opened negotiations in recent days with Bahraini international Kamil Al-Aswad, one of the most prominent players in the Bahraini national team, who played an important role in helping his country win the Gulf Cup title in its twenty-sixth edition held in Kuwait.
According to information, the coaching staff of the team, led by coach Rashid Jaber, showed great interest in signing Al-Aswad to strengthen the midfield, after reviewing his outstanding technical performances both with his national team and with his current club, Al-Khalidiya.
However, the negotiations faced significant financial demands that prevented the deal from being finalized, as Al-Khalidiya Club requested an amount of $400,000 to grant the player the official release card, while the player himself demanded $300,000 as personal financial dues upon signing, bringing the total deal to nearly $700,000.
The management of Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Club considered this financial value to be very high compared to the club's budget and its current plans in the transfer market, especially in light of the management's efforts to achieve a balance between attracting influential players and maintaining the club's financial stability, which led them to officially freeze the negotiations.
Thus, Kamil Al-Aswad's name has been removed from Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's considerations for the new season, despite the previous desire to sign him, while the club's management will look for other alternative options to strengthen the team with high-quality foreign players at a reasonable cost.
Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya continues to move strongly in the transfer market, having recently concluded several prominent deals, the most notable being the signing of Tunisian striker Haythem Jouini, and it aims to continue strengthening to compete in all local and continental championships next season.
