Al Quwa Al Jawiya snatch thrilling draw against Nawruz in league opener

Al Quwa Al Jawiya refused to lose and managed to come back from behind to secure a thrilling draw against their hosts Nawruz, in a match that saw 6 goals and many twists until the final minutes.

The Falcons started the match in the best possible way. From the 5th minute, new signing defender Saad Al-Rousan managed to give the blue team an early lead, providing the Falcons with a psychological advantage at the start of the encounter.

However, this lead did not last long. After the goal, Air Force's performance noticeably declined, and the team appeared less organized, which was quickly exploited by Nawroz to impose their style.

Slemani intensified their attacks and managed to equalise through their star Mohamed Dlawar in the 11th minute, bringing the match back to square one and igniting the atmosphere of the encounter.

The pressure continued, and in the 25th minute, the referee awarded a penalty to the home team, which Ibrahim Ghazi successfully converted to give Norouz their second goal.

The situation did not stop there, as Simon Msuva added the third goal in the 31st minute, widening the gap and putting Al Quwa Al Jawiya in a difficult position before the end of the first half.

Despite difficult circumstances, the Falcons managed to reduce the deficit before the break. In the 48th minute of added time, Mohammad Jawad scored a goal that restored hope for the blue team, ending the first half with Nowruz leading by just one goal.

At the start of the second half, Al Quwa Al Jawiya came out with a different face. The coaching staff addressed the mistakes, and the team appeared more organized and bolder in moving forward.

In contrast, Norouz chose to fall back and rely on defensive organization while trying to snatch a fourth goal through counter-attacks.

The match unfolded this way until the final minutes, with Nawruz close to securing all three points. However, Al Quwa Al Jawiya refused to give up.

In the 99th minute of stoppage time, Mohammad Jawad succeeded in scoring his second equaliser of the match, snatching a valuable point for the Falcons from a difficult ground.

With this result, each team secured one point at the start of their league campaign. Nawruz came away disappointed after squandering a comfortable lead, while Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya viewed the draw as a moral victory after coming back from two goals down and showing the character of a big team until the final whistle.
