Goalkeeper of Zakho Club and the Iraqi national team, Ali Kazem, confirmed that there are actual movements from his club's management to contract with the national team striker Mohanad Ali "Mimi", amid a clear desire from the management to bring the player into the team's ranks during the current transfer period.

Kazem said: "There is a move from Zakho Club's management to contract with Mimi and a great desire to include him from the administration, and honestly, I would be happy if we brought Mimi."

He added: "The player's primary goal is professionalism, as he has many offers from the Iranian and UAE leagues."

He concluded: "I believe that if professionalism does not happen, Mimi will sit with the management of Al-Shorta Club, as they have the priority."

Zakho's goalkeeper continued: "Zakho Club is considered the closest to signing him after Al-Shorta, and this player has his fortune, and he wants professionalism due to the higher financial value."

He finished by saying: "I believe that Mimi was more influential than Mahmoud Mawas, and he has a significant percentage in achieving Al-Shorta the title of the Iraqi Premier League."
