Badr Al-Maamari Talks After Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya's Contract with Rashid Jaber
Omani coach Badr Al-Maamari expressed his strong support and optimism for coach Rashid Jaber after the announcement of his official appointment to lead the Iraqi Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya team, praising the step of entering a new challenge with one of the most prestigious clubs in Iraq.
Al-Maamari said: "Big clubs always have their primary ambition, Captain Rashid Jaber studied Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, and he knows that Al-Jawiya always remains the first. He sat down and talked with the management, and he knew that their goal is the championship."
He added: "Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya is considered one of the best clubs in Iraq, and it is a strong competitor for the Al-Shorta team. Rashid Jaber knows very well that the upcoming phase will be difficult and very important in his career, but he accepted this challenge and I believe he is capable of it, and I wish him success with Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya."
Regarding the possibility of seeing other Omani players in the Iraqi Stars League,
Al-Maamari replied: "This is what I hope for. We saw Al-Mundhir Al-Alawi with Al-Zawraa, and Issam Al-Sabhi with Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, and he was even renewed despite the injury, and this is considered a good thing for them."
He continued: "There are clear technical differences in the Iraqi league, which is a competitive league. I believe that players have hope to prove themselves in this league, and this is very positive for them. I also hope to see Iraqi players present in the Omani league."
