Younis Mahmoud Congratulates Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Following League Victory

The President of the Iraqi Football Association, Younis Mahmoud, extended an official congratulation to Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya Club on the occasion of their crowning as champions of the Iraqi Stars League for the 2025/2026 season, after a fierce competition with the major clubs in the league that lasted until the final rounds.

The congratulation came through an official statement from the association, in which Mahmoud praised the performance of the Falcons this season, considering that the title did not come by chance, but as a result of organized work and technical and administrative stability that distinguished the team from the other competitors.

Younis Mahmoud stated in his statement: "It is our pleasure to congratulate Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya, one of the oldest clubs in the country, on clinching the Iraqi Stars League title for the current season, after successfully delivering outstanding performances and achieving remarkable results crowned by the players, their coaching staff, and the club's management by winning the most prestigious football title."

The president of the association pointed out that Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya deserved the title with merit, after maintaining their technical level consistently throughout the season, and presenting disciplined attacking football that restored the prestige of the "Falcons" to the forefront. The results achieved by the team in crucial matches were sufficient to crown them before the competition concluded with two rounds remaining.

Younis Mahmoud revealed the factors that distinguished Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya from the other teams this season, saying: "What distinguished Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya from the other teams was their bright journey and technical stability, which was only achieved through the enthusiastic support and unlimited backing provided by the club's management, which planned with high confidence and won the bet."

Technical stability was the most prominent feature of the Falcons' journey, as the technical staff maintained their ideas and were not affected by the pressures of major matches.
