Tuesday 22-07-2025
Brazilian Rodrigo, winger for Real Madrid, received a strong shock from his new coach Xabi Alonso regarding his status with the team for the upcoming season, amid uncertainty surrounding his future within the royal club.

According to Spanish newspaper "Marca", Alonso held sessions with Real Madrid players to explain his vision and plans for the new season, without definitively deciding on the departure of any player, but he made sure to inform some players of their potential roles, and the Spanish coach confirmed to Rodrigo that it would be difficult for him to get many playing minutes in the upcoming season.

In contrast, Alonso informed his teammate Ibrahim Diaz that he would remain an influential substitute, with the club wanting to retain his services, and previous reports indicate that 24-year-old Rodrigo is already considering leaving in search of more opportunities to play, in order to maintain his place in Brazil's squad for the 2026 World Cup.

It is noted that Real Madrid has set Rodrigo's selling price at around 100 million euros, despite his contract extending until 2028, and the player participated in 54 matches across all competitions last season, scoring 14 goals and providing 11 assists.
