Saint-Etienne rejected an official offer of €3 million from Turkish Trabzonspor to sign Moroccan player Benjamin Bouchouari during the ongoing summer transfer period.

According to the French website Butfootballclub, Trabzonspor's management opened direct communication channels with their counterparts at Saint-Etienne to negotiate the player's transfer, based on a recommendation from coach Fatih Terim, who sees Bouchouari as a strong technical addition to the team's midfield.

The officials of the French club rejected the Turkish offer, insisting on higher financial demands, despite the player's contract nearing its end in the summer of 2026, while other European clubs are also showing interest in his services.

Bouchouari, 22 years old, is considered one of the promising names in Moroccan football, having participated in 25 matches this season with Saint-Etienne, contributing to one goal, and many are betting on him to be part of the next generation of the Moroccan national team.
