Trabzonspor Seeks to Permanently Acquire Onana
Tuesday 07-10-2025
The British newspaper 'The Sun' reported that Trabzonspor has shown interest in permanently signing Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana after his remarkable performance since joining the team on loan from Manchester United.

The newspaper clarified that the current loan deal does not include a purchase option or mandatory contract, but the Turkish club's management has expressed readiness to open negotiations with Manchester United to convert the loan into a permanent transfer.

Onana has delivered an outstanding performance in his first four matches with Trabzonspor, keeping a clean sheet in two games, and has impressed the coach with his high level, leadership spirit, and quick adaptability.

The same source added that the Cameroonian goalkeeper earns a salary exceeding £120,000 per week, which he was receiving at Manchester United, making it easier to reach a personal agreement with him if negotiations take place.
