Onana Insists on Returning to Manchester United
Thursday 16-04-2026
Cameroonian goalkeeper André Onana remains committed to his chance of returning to the ranks of Manchester United, despite the uncertainty surrounding his future with the English club, according to recent media reports.

According to the British network 'BBC', Onana still believes in his ability to regain his place within the team, despite indications that do not favor his continuation with the Red Devils.

Onana joined Manchester United in 2023 from Inter Milan, before leaving last summer to Trabzonspor on loan until the end of the current season, after a difficult period he spent during his first two seasons with the team.

The report indicated that the Cameroonian goalkeeper had a fluctuating season during his loan period, which reduces his chances of continuing with Trabzonspor after the end of the season.

The BBC added that Onana's departure from Manchester United could become more complicated if the team qualifies for the Champions League, as his contract includes a clause granting him a 25% salary increase, which might push him to insist on staying.

On the other hand, previous reports indicated that Manchester United does not plan to reintegrate Onana into the team and prefers to sell him after his loan period ends.

Onana's contract with the club extends until the summer of 2028, while his name has been linked with interest from several clubs, including his former club, Inter Milan.
