Neom Moves to Strengthen Its Defense with Strong French Deals
The Saudi Neom Club continues its strong movements in the summer transfer market, as part of its preparations to participate in the upcoming Roshan League season, seeking to strengthen its defense with distinguished signings from the European league.
French newspaper "L'Équipe" reported that Neom, recently promoted to the Roshan League, has prioritized the French duo Axel Disasi, Chelsea defender, and Ismail Doukouré, Strasbourg defender, to enhance its backline, as the club has entered into direct negotiations with the "Blue Co" group that owns both clubs.
The newspaper clarified that discussions so far have been limited to the management of both clubs without direct communication with the players, noting that Disasi is under contract with Chelsea until 2029, while Doukouré has only one season left on his contract with Strasbourg.
Neom had previously strengthened its squad with several prominent signings, including Alexandre Lacazette, Said Benrahma, Marcin Bulka, and Amadou Koné, in addition to hiring French coach Christophe Galtier to lead the team in its first appearance in the Roshan League.
