Fenerbahçe Targets PSG Trio to Strengthen Its Squad
In light of the strong competition with Galatasaray, Fenerbahçe, led by coach José Mourinho, is seeking to strengthen its squad with three players from Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports from the "Foot Mercato" network.
Fenerbahçe is focusing on a permanent contract for Slovak defender Milan Škriniar, who is currently on loan from Paris Saint-Germain, for a fee of 10 million euros, especially with the player's desire to continue in Turkey.
At the top of the targeted names is Paris forward Marco Asensio, who joined the French club for free in 2023 and returned from a successful loan period with Aston Villa but has not gained the trust of coach Luis Enrique. Negotiations are ongoing between the two clubs for Asensio's transfer for an amount ranging between 10 and 15 million euros.
The third player is South Korean star Kang-in Lee, who is struggling for playing time with Paris under Enrique's management and is an additional target for Fenerbahçe to enhance its offensive options.
This comes as Galatasaray continues to strengthen its squad with significant signings, such as Leroy Sané and Victor Osimhen, who is close to joining the team in a deal exceeding 75 million euros, while Fenerbahçe refuses to give up its ambition to compete for the Turkish league title this season.
