The Real Madrid Sports City hosted an emotional ceremony to honor and bid farewell to Lucas Vazquez, who is leaving the club after a successful career that began in 2007, ending with 402 official matches and 23 titles with the first team.

Vazquez said during his farewell ceremony today, Thursday: "It is one of the most important days of my life. Thank you to the fans for their love. I lived unforgettable dreams, lifted trophies, and shared a dressing room with legends. I was happy, loved, and respected."

He added: "Thank you to my parents for all the sacrifices, and to my brother who instilled in me the love of football. And thank you to my wife, who has always been by my side. You gave me the most beautiful thing in life, our children. Lucas, Maca, and Benji, you are my greatest pride, and I hope you will one day understand what it means for your father to wear the Real Madrid jersey."

He concluded: "I leave with a calm heart, I gave everything I had. I achieved my lifelong dream at the greatest club in the world. I will leave, but Real Madrid will always remain inside me. I am and will always be Lucas Vazquez, son of Real Madrid."
