Luka Jovic Approaches Return to Madrid via Getafe
Thursday 17-07-2025
The Serbian striker Luka Jovic is close to returning to the Spanish capital, Madrid, but this time to defend the colors of Getafe, following a previous unsuccessful stint with Real Madrid.

According to the Spanish newspaper "AS", Getafe has shown a strong desire to strengthen its attacking line by signing Jovic on a free transfer, after the player's services were offered to the club.

Getafe is currently in negotiations with the Serbian international regarding the personal terms of his contract, in preparation for medical examinations and finalizing the agreement, as his contract with Italian club Milan ended at the beginning of July.

The biggest hurdle in the deal remains the player's high salary, as he was earning around 3.2 million euros annually with Milan. However, Getafe may succeed in meeting his financial demands if they sell their player Oshi to a club in the English league, in addition to the possibility of offloading one of the high-salary players, most notably Borja Mayoral.
