Enrique: I'm Not a Loser, This is What Happened After the Match
Paris Saint-Germain coach Luis Enrique appeared at a press conference after losing the FIFA Club World Cup final to Chelsea with a score of 3-0.
The coach spoke about his altercation with Chelsea's Joao Pedro after the match, saying: "What happened at the end of the match was a situation that could have been avoided by everyone, I was trying to separate the players, there was tension,"
He added: "We should all have prevented the situation from escalating, I have no problem talking, after the match there is a lot of tension. There is pushing and shoving from everyone due to the tension of the match, I saw Marisca pushing the players, and they pushed him. These are the situations we should all avoid. What I did was separate the players."
He continued: "The first few minutes were very difficult for us, they were full of energy. They played better than us. It is very nice to be proud of the Paris Saint-Germain fans. There are people who can always offer criticism, I don't care. We need to take advantage of the break now."
He concluded: "I am not a loser, I am the runner-up, the loser is the one who gives up, the loser is the one who cannot get back up. Maybe I am liked more or less, but I am very liked by everyone who knows me. I don't know if I am very selfish, but I say that."
