Cole Palmer, Chelsea's midfielder, expressed his immense happiness following the 4-0 victory over Paris Saint-Germain in the FIFA Club World Cup final.

The English star said: "It's a great feeling, and it feels even better because everyone doubted us before the match, and we knew that. To show such fighting spirit is really good."

Palmer spoke about his performance in big matches, saying: "I love finals... it happened again today."

Regarding his two goals from the right side, he said: "The coach set up a great game plan. He knew where the spaces would be. He tried to give me as much freedom as possible, and all I had to do was repay him by scoring goals."

He concluded his remarks by praising coach Enzo Maresca, saying: "He is building something special, something important. A lot has been said about us throughout the season, but I feel we are heading in the right direction."
