The president of Paris Saint-Germain, Nasser Khalifi, stated to Sky Sport following his team's loss in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup final against Chelsea with a score of 3-0.
He said, "Congratulations to Chelsea, they deserved to win the cup. We are very proud; what we have achieved this season is amazing. It is true that we lost this match; it was a final match, but that is football."
He added, "We are humble in victory as we are in defeat. This has been the most beautiful season in the history of Paris Saint-Germain, and one match will not change anything about that."
Khalifi praised his team, saying, "I am very proud of the coach, the players, and the technical staff. We reached five finals out of five this season and won four of them."
He concluded regarding the future of the team, "We were the youngest team in the tournament, as well as in most of the tournaments we participated in this season... and this is just the beginning for us."
