Croatian star Luka Modric is nearing a move to Milan for the upcoming season after his contract with Real Madrid expires. Modric is expected to sign a contract with the Rossoneri in the coming days, following his farewell to Real Madrid from the semi-finals of the Club World Cup.

Modric's contract with Milan will be for one season, allowing him to prepare and participate with the Croatian national team in the Club World Cup next summer.

The newspaper 'Mundo Deportivo' indicated that the new contract will pay much less compared to what Modric earned at Real Madrid, where he received 5 million euros in the 2024/2025 season and 10 million euros in the 2023/2024 season.

The value of his contract with Milan is between 2.5 and 3 million euros only, in a move that allows him to continue his career and get closer to achieving his international dream.
