English media reports have revealed that Saudi Al-Hilal has entered negotiations to acquire Swedish striker Viktor Giocares, the star of Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon, amid increasing talk of uncertain Saudi movements.

The 22-year-old player was close to transferring to English club Arsenal after a series of advanced talks; however, a financial dispute prevented the completion of the deal, prompting Arsenal to change its course.

Following the negotiation setback, the English club shifted its focus to alternative names, primarily Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko, given Sporting Lisbon's insistence on a significant financial return for Giocares' departure.

The Portuguese club demands a fee ranging from 80 to 100 million euros for relinquishing their outstanding striker, which poses a financial barrier for several interested European clubs.

Although Giocares desires to experience a new challenge in the English league, he has not shown a clear willingness to pressure his club, which opens the door for Al-Hilal to move in on the deal, especially after his chances of signing Osimhen have diminished.
