Massimiliano Allegri, the coach of AC Milan, confirmed that he is waiting for Croatian star Luka Modric to join the team, coming from Real Madrid on a free transfer.
Allegri said in a press conference: "We are waiting for Luka Modric. He will arrive in August, he is currently with his team at the Club World Cup."
He added: "Luka Modric is an important and exceptional player. He does not need an introduction."
According to media reports, Modric will sign a one-season contract with the Rossoneri, with an option to extend for an additional year, while he will receive a salary of 3.5 million euros plus incentives.
