Amir Mortada: I Did Not Expect Imam Ashour's Joining Al-Ahly
Amir Mortada Mansour, the former general supervisor of the football sector at Zamalek Club, confirmed that Imam Ashour, the current Al-Ahly player, did not request to return to Zamalek when he left for Denmark.
Amir Mortada said in media statements: "Imam Ashour, before his sale, was not a key player in the national team, and he was sold to a league that does not pay much for 3 million dollars."
He continued: "In contrast, Al-Ahly sold Hamdi Fathy to the Qatari league for an amount less than what Ashour was sold for, and I did not include a resale clause because I knew he would return from professional play."
He added: "I did not imagine his return to Al-Ahly, and I swear by God that he did not request to return to Zamalek, and his agent is the one who informed me about the negotiations with Al-Ahly and Pyramids."
