Barcelona has ruled out the idea of signing Dutch player Denzel Dumfries, the Inter Milan right-back, despite a release clause in his contract worth 25 million euros, which is valid for only a few days, according to the Spanish newspaper "Marca".

Dumfries had an impressive season with Inter, where the team finished as runners-up in the Champions League. However, Barcelona's management believes that the right-back position is secured for French player Jules Koundé, who was one of the standout players for the team last season, providing consistent performances and crucial goals, notably his goal in the King's Cup final against Real Madrid.

Coach Hans Flick is confident in the continued development of young player Hector Fort, and he also relies on Eric Garcia as an alternative option in case Koundé is absent, thus closing the door on any new signings in this position.

The financial constraints imposed on the club due to Financial Fair Play regulations also present an additional obstacle to making any new deals, especially with the uncertainty of the club's ability to register new players, which makes signing Dumfries unlikely at this time.
