Surgery Temporarily Sidelines Frattesi from Inter Milan

Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio revealed on his official account on the 'X' platform that Davide Frattesi, Inter Milan's midfielder, will undergo surgery in the coming days to treat an inguinal hernia, after suffering from the injury for a long time.

Di Marzio explained that the player decided, in coordination with the medical staff, to undergo the surgery after Inter's exit from the Club World Cup against Fluminense, to ensure a full recovery before the start of the new season.

It is expected that his absence will range between 20 and 30 days, which will not affect Inter's plans for the start of the new season.

He noted that coach Cristian Kivu spoke with Frattesi during the team's recent camp, confirming his importance in the new project as a key player in midfield and not just a substitute for Barella, which strengthened the player's desire to stay and renew his contract, even though his market value of 35 million euros might make him a sellable option if the club's financial circumstances require it.

Inter Milan's management is currently focused on preparing the player physically and getting him ready to return to the pitch quickly at the start of the season.
