Chelsea and Aston Villa Face Financial Penalties from UEFA
Reliable journalist Martin Ziegler announced via his official account on the social media platform "X" that the UEFA has imposed financial fines on English clubs Chelsea and Aston Villa for violating Financial Fair Play rules.
According to Ziegler, Chelsea's fine is 31 million euros, or 27 million pounds sterling, with the possibility of an additional conditional fine of 60 million euros if these violations continue.
UEFA also imposed a fine on Aston Villa amounting to 11 million euros, or 9.5 million pounds sterling, along with an additional conditional fine of 15 million euros, after reaching a settlement with both clubs.
The penalties also included sporting measures, as both clubs will have to achieve a positive balance in the transfer market when registering new players for participation in European competitions.
