Juventus Renews Interest in Signing Aston Villa Goalkeeper
Juventus has renewed its interest in signing Argentine goalkeeper Emiliano Martinez during the summer transfer window, after the chances of acquiring Alisson Becker became limited due to Liverpool's insistence on keeping the Brazilian goalkeeper as part of new coach Andoni Iraola's project.
The "Football Italia" website explained that Juventus has initiated new contacts with Martinez's representatives to explore the possibility of completing the deal, while continuing the search for a goalkeeper with the required experience and leadership abilities.
The negotiations face significant financial obstacles, as Martinez is under contract with Aston Villa until the summer of 2029, while the English club values him at around 40 million euros, in addition to his high salary.
Despite the difficulty of the deal, Juventus still considers strengthening the goalkeeper position as one of its main priorities this summer, following the challenging season experienced by Michele Di Gregorio.
