Al-Wakrah Sports Club has officially announced its contract with Spanish coach Vicente Moreno to lead the first football team during the upcoming season, in a move aimed at enhancing ambitions and competing for local championships.

The Spanish coach signed a contract until the summer of 2027 with the Qatari club, where Moreno expressed his happiness to embark on a new experience in the Qatar Stars League.

It is worth noting that Vicente Moreno has extensive experience in Spanish football, having previously coached clubs such as Espanyol and Real Mallorca, achieving notable successes, most notably leading Mallorca to promotion to La Liga.

Moreno is expected to start his duties immediately by overseeing the summer preparation period in preparation for the start of the new season.

Al-Wakrah's management hopes that the contract with the Spanish coach will contribute to building a team capable of competing and achieving a high position in the league.
