Moamen Soliman: I Preferred to Stay with Al-Police Rather Than Move to Zamalek
Egyptian coach Moamen Soliman, the head coach of the Iraqi Police Club, stated that he received a serious offer to return to coach the Egyptian Zamalek Club in the past period, but he preferred to continue his successful experience with the Police, out of respect for the technical project and the trust of the management and fans.
Soliman said in a statement after winning the Iraqi league title for the fourth consecutive time:
"Indeed, I received an official offer from Zamalek, which is a big club dear to my heart. I have coached it before and carry all love and appreciation for it, but I preferred to stay with Al-Police at this stage because I felt that my project here is not yet complete."
He added:
"The technical stability and mutual respect between me and the management, as well as the strong relationship with the players and fans, made me choose to continue here, especially since we are competing for titles and achieving consecutive successes."
He continued:
"The Police Club has given me all the technical powers, and there is commitment and professionalism at the level of work. This environment helps any coach to succeed. The decision to stay was not easy emotionally, but I chose what I see as the best professionally at this stage."
He concluded by saying:
"I always wish Zamalek success, and I thank its fans for their love, but I am now fully focused on the Police, and my next goal is to achieve more championships both locally and internationally."
