Reports have confirmed that Zamalek's management is intensifying efforts to finalize the hiring of a new foreign head coach to lead the team's preparations for the upcoming season.

This comes after Zamalek ended its contractual relationship with interim coach Ayman Al-Ramadi following the team's victory in the Egypt Cup against Pyramids.

According to Egyptian sources, Zamalek is considering five coaching candidates, including a Spanish coach, although the club's management leans towards the Portuguese school in their choice of the new coach.

The sources indicated that Portuguese coach Alexandre Santos, currently with the Moroccan Royal Army, is the top candidate to lead Zamalek.

Additionally, Zamalek officials are considering several Portuguese names at the top of their list of candidates to coach the team, including coaches who have previously been in the Arab region.
