São Paulo Announces Return of Hernán Crespo to Coach the Team
Thursday 19-06-2025
The Brazilian club São Paulo announced in an official statement the appointment of Argentine coach Hernán Crespo as the head coach of the first team, in his second term.

The Brazilian club confirmed that the Argentine coach signed a contract until December 2026, succeeding his compatriot Luis Suárez, who was recently dismissed due to a decline in results.

The decision came after the team's poor performance in the Brazilian league, where they currently sit in fourteenth place, prompting the management to act quickly to salvage the season.

Crespo returns to São Paulo for a second term after previously leading the team in 2021, where he won the Brazilian league title.

Club president Julio Casares stated in an official statement: "Crespo has a winning mentality and knows the club's atmosphere well. We are confident in his ability to get the team back on the right track."
