Manchester United CEO: We are committed to our goal in 2028
Omar Berrada, the CEO of Manchester United, expressed his confidence in the club's ability to celebrate its 150th anniversary in 2028 by winning the Premier League title for both the men's and women's teams.
In his statements, Berrada said: "It's about setting a series of goals within a specific timeframe so that we can focus our efforts and energy on achieving this goal," adding: "Can the team win the Premier League title by 2028? Of course."
Although the men's team finished last season in fifteenth place, their worst position in the league since the 1973/1974 season, Berrada confirmed that winning the title is not impossible, explaining: "Why shouldn't we aim for this? Why shouldn't we do our utmost to achieve this?"
It is worth noting that the Manchester United women's team finished the season in third place, 16 points behind Chelsea, who won the title and also defeated the team in the FA Cup final. Meanwhile, the men's team finished the league three places above the relegation zone and lost the Europa League final to Tottenham.
Berrada concluded his statements by saying: "I am fully confident in our ability to achieve this goal; we have two or three summer transfer windows to build the team and start competing for the Premier League title."
