Italian media reports revealed today, Monday, about cases of poisoning within the ranks of Salernitana following their match against Sampdoria in the first leg of the Serie B relegation play-off.

According to 'Corriere dello Sport', 16 members of the Salernitana delegation were affected by poisoning, including 10 players who were taken to the hospital immediately after the match, which ended with Sampdoria winning 2-0.

The report indicated that some of the cases left the hospital after their health improved, while the team's training scheduled for this morning was canceled.

Salernitana officially requested to postpone the return match against Sampdoria, scheduled for next Friday, as part of the fight to stay in Serie B.
